What are you a source of?
What are others a source of?
morning boy's letters on serious matters and commentary on funny things aplenty
Reading is visuosonic process.
I am misleading you. A little bit.
It is a sonic process.
What is a ‘word’?
It doesn’t change when you are reading, writing or speaking and listening.
While reading you are looking at a word?
While writing you are creating a word in a visual shape?
While speaking you are creating a word in some sound-like thing?
While listening you are hearing a word in se sound-like thing?
After you look at a word while reading, that looking creates a sound. Without that sound, there is nothing. No word, no meaning.
Look serves the sound.
Both carry names: containers and contents.
And when we talk, we use these names so spontaneously.
For examples, take the expression ‘quality’. Is it a container? Is it content? Am I asking weird questions?
Well, the question isn’t weird if we remind ourselves that the words that we speak ‘carry’ meanings. Can I say then that ‘carry’ implies some ‘container’, and if there’s a container there’s a possibility that there is ‘content’?
Back to the expression ‘quality’. What is your sense, is it a container?
To me it feels like a container.
So, when we look at a thing and comment, “I am not convinced about the quality”, what do we mean? Just using the word ‘quality’ may not be sufficient. Your companion may get some idea or no idea of what you’ve talked about.
‘Quality’ could mean durability, fulfilling the purpose for which you are looking at the thing, aesthetics, smoothness, etc. You get the idea?
‘Quality’ the word in itself feels vague, even though it carries meaning. Empty container.
Wealth, we often say.
What leads to health?
Burgers, Clothes, Open Spaces, Play Grounds, Mud, Buildings, Roads, Books, Children, Movements, Moves…
Wealth leads to health?
I have a shop on Shopify (link at the end of this post).
I often say that software is a machine.
When I look at my Shopify website and the kind of feedback I receive from patrons, visitors and users of this website, I am tempted to add some apps to this website in the hope that users have a better experience and I can market my products and website in better ways.
Website is a container for Shopify store which is a software which is a machine.
Apps are also software which are machines.
This gathering of machines makes it a factory. A communication factory.
Is that the word? Think about it.
“Build”
Look at the meaning of ‘brand’, look at the meaning of ‘build’.
For a long time, I’ve had doubts about this expression and similar other expressions which include ‘brand’.
Folks say, the name of my brand is…
‘Brand’ if understood in the sense of its the original meanings, whether as a verb or a noun, doesn’t make any sense in such expressions as ‘build a brand’.
Actually, ‘brand’ feels like an abstraction. An abstract name given to the phenomenon of making one remember your name at the moment of truth.
Think of these ratios:
Number of experiments : Number of questions
Number of experiments : Number of entrepreneurship events attended
Number of experiments : Number of Whatsapp Opinions shared
‘Thoughts’ what a ridiculous tag I use for some of my updates. What are ‘Thoughts’! Bad!
It is a lifting day. And reading Murakami day. The more the stuff sitting pretty in the memory, they make it heavy going for the legs.

There are times when the mind doesn’t apply itself for improvement or the conscious self can’t figure whether or not the mind is actually applying itself towards improvement.
Alright, I have no option now. I shall have to read Killing Commendatore on my Kindle. The time feels right.
Just because you can do it doesn’t mean you should do it. Therein lies the art of doing.
Some containers are obvious, some are revealed.
Take a simple idea and take it seriously.
That resonates with me.
Motion begets motivation.
Motivation begets motion.
Which sounds appropriate?
So much effort to motivate, so little motion.
Our thoughts emerge as if with utter disdain for our categorical system of organization.
Technique should not become a habit.
Obstacles in the process of exercising a technique develops elegance. Initially, embarrassment and frustration, perhaps.
