morning boy's letters on serious matters and commentary on funny things aplenty

Imagine, requests have to be pushed. Such times!
So many beautifying filters,
Interfering with poeisis!
Instagram, the horrible inbox for beautiful looking pics, so many of them. Instant inundation!
Identify a sign-up form service
Identify an emailing service
Check if the two are integrated
Or, check combinations of integrations, which means check the integrations section of whichever sign-up form service or emailing service website I visit.
Seeking ‘convenience of creating art’, human beings ended up creating technology after technology for the purpose of memory storage, in the process constantly losing precious priceless memories.
I can’t make head or tail of things in hosting business. What utter fool. Google offering hosting services at insane prices. Or am I insane? And poor too?
Astounded to know WordPress has such a huge market share in the CMS and website building space. That one CMS can command such a share is not a surprise. It happens in any market. But that WordPress quality of CMS and the arrangements surrounding WordPress have such a share is the big deal.
I shall be looking at alternative ways and means of doing things. This is pure ripping!
All the bull-shit that surrounds website-making and hosting and serving and this and that. Incredible! Amidst all this, it is clear to me that if you have thoughts and content to share, you should attempt to build simple websites preferably with something like Blogger; of course, Blogger is owned by Google and so there may be something in there too. But by far, it is the most friendly, transparent and expense-free proposition.
What a shame! There’s nothing like Feedburner anymore. Did so much in such a simple way! And Google’s bent on killing it. Looks like that.
These guys, all hosting resellers and affiliates, are cheats! If not cheats, surely deceivers. Certain! On one site I saw an overwhelming number of positive reviews for siteground.com as a host. My experience has been just about alright.
Luring you with visually nice looking things.
WordPress.com does that too. They’ve broken basic things in so so many modules and this and that and named them Jetpack and other nice sounding names! All of course, you have rightly guessed it, a way to charge for all these things. Crazy!
There are no options anyway. You have to spend on spam-filters and security appendages as ‘modules’, whereas quite easy to make these an essential part of the basic build. But then the world wouldn’t go round, is that what we are saying?
All these review sites and suggestion sites and resellers and affiliate marketing sites, all fooling you into doing funny things. Alternative version is, of course I am a fool to think of myself as intelligent, smart and whatever!
Looks like some work’s happening on Blogger. Not too many things over and above what was already there, but some changes I can surely see. I only wish, there’s a little more added to make Blogger amenable to build a greater variety of pages in terms of layouts. Then it would be preferred choice to build sites on, alongside blogging. Though my sense is blogging is the greatest form of building websites.
Where has the web design of small clean normal letters gone? They are all making it so loud right now.
Google has lost it. Look at the absurd quality of craftsmanship. Google My Business, what an opportunity, how absolutely uninviting.
Good things comes at a price. Look at this for example. I would surely build a site with them. But one ought to know what one wants to do with the site. https://statamic.com/
I wish Adobe Bridge tags-sorted digital assets can just be mirrored and published on the web. May remove plenty of headache for people like me.
This is a terrific search engine: https://builtwith.com/
Just in case one doesn’t understand much and yet wants to imagine superficially and make some good sense of what the web developers keep blabbering.
I like this business of extensions but I don’t like the prices every time. What to do! I have no coding skill yet not a cheap committed friendly coder!
We want to flow through the websites, with elegance preferably. Inelegantly is also fine, provided it is all flowy. Instead they rely on ‘scroll’ and ‘clicks’. Incidentally, what they term pages are no longer really pages, more like clicks and scrolls. Fuckitt, I don’t know coding yet. No patience to create a machine that allows elegance.
