Is anyone writing letters these days, apart from transactional and legal ones?

It still doesn’t mean ‘read’, the double-blue-ticks in Whatsapp. All it means is ‘seen inside the chat window’. In the age of forwards, only ‘read’ has value.
Composed by you, it will be read. And the one who still doesn’t read, can rot. Worry not about the double-blue-ticks.

Two points in the context of using software…
Two points in the context of using software, made by others, in ways that can serve us well:
- Treat every software as an object
- Irrespective of the nature of the object, ask yourself what you would like to do with it
Say, in a weird situation, you have a nail to hammer but no hammer. So would you not hammer the nail in? You’ll search for something that serves as a hammer. You’ll look around and you find a weirdly shaped small block of stone. Or say a smoothly shaped paper weight. The obvious question: can this be used to hammer the nail?
3rd point, once you’ve figured what you would like to do with the software object:
- So which part of the stone can really hammer the nail and which part you will use to grip and apply a hammering force?
4th point, remember to start with a question and ask a question of any kind in the context of any software object.
Phew, long post by my standards. Any useful?

Now that Blogger is improving, do I expect the Blogger-attached FeedBurner to improve too? Or something else as a replacement? Hope there’s re-injection of good sense in Google’s think-tank.

How proud of doing things myself, with my own hands, with my charm, commanding machines to do things felt like an affront to my sensibilities and hyper-activity. When sitting becomes a hobby, good time to learn coding.

‘un’ normally doesn’t leave a link. But then, to think of ‘unlinks’, the plural. That makes ‘un’ something else.

Oh, these ecommerce CMSes are so sleep-inducing. Takes a lot of time to learn the funny skills of operating these complicated machines. And words that make up the language that make us use these machines, you don’t want to deal with them. They obscure it so that they can take the money to operate the obscurity on your behalf.
