What is it?
Painful repetition for a non-detail oriented person.
morning boy's letters on serious matters and commentary on funny things aplenty
Some meaning that was attributed to the word PASSION moved to the word EMOTION.
I am not sure how deliberately and consciously we look at such movements of meanings.
New meanings also get created and get attributed to the same words which did not mean those things at all.
Crazy!
Difference between mood, temperament, feelings, emotion?
Insane answers available on the web. Horror!
And all the while I have been reading and uttering these words without any serious thought.
Since we say Storage Space, it struck me what could be Storage Place.
In the world of non-digital matter, Storage Place can be said to stay alright for eternity. Almost, for practical purposes.
Can there a term like Digital Storage Place? But what can then be said about the longevity and durability of Digital Storage Place? We surely know, it isn’t any close to eternity. If it isn’t eternity, can we bear the costs of non-eternal Digital Storage Place?
Data Scientists: Folks in charge of analyzing mountains of silly data.
Data Interpretation, an area of testing in MBA entrance exams.
What our kids need is hyper-linking of meanings in their heads. That’s a good part of education.
Some expressions barely make sense to me. But for people to exchange ideas, expressions have to be ‘created’ and expressed in very short moments. And so, even if the expressions are not quite there in terms of what they try to capture and represent, they gain currency.
For slow stubborn minds like mine however, they are invisible obstacles to overcome. The invisibility adds to the slowness and what makes them obstacles.
Take an example: Civil Engineering.
Now it feels like a simple thing to grasp, isn’t it. But not for me.
Here’s what it means: Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including public works such as roads, bridges, canals, dams, airports, sewage systems, pipelines, structural components of buildings, and railways.
You’d say what’s the big deal here. Right. No big deal, except that I’ve grasped and understood its meaning only now.
Work in progress,
Progress in work,
Any difference between the expressions?
There isn’t much to it but I checked the meaning of Sociology just now, at the end of life it seems. Folks write very boring books on this subject.
You often feel tired, not because you’ve done too much, but because you’ve done too little of what sparks a light in you.
Delightful high frequency.
Not so delightful high frequency.
Space-time, that’s the expression coined.
Feeling the nature of time, and the motion of human body through space, I sense path-time is a better expression. Think about it. Path-time. Sounds new and odd. Path-time.
Rushning
When you run coz you are in a rush
Or
When you rush coz you like running
The second interpretation sounds weird to me. Any better way of expressing?
It still doesn’t mean ‘read’, the double-blue-ticks in Whatsapp. All it means is ‘seen inside the chat window’. In the age of forwards, only ‘read’ has value.
Composed by you, it will be read. And the one who still doesn’t read, can rot. Worry not about the double-blue-ticks.
Just because you can do it doesn’t mean you should do it. Therein lies the art of doing.
Materialism means treating objects as material, and not as objects. There’s a mighty difference between the 2, though there is a relationship.
