Which animal would you compare yourself to and why?
Compare?
I wake up like a different animal every morning.
Let me reword this question for myself then.
Which animal would you wake up as in the morning and why?
Sloth Bear
Giant Panda
Red Panda
Sloth
Elephant
All such possibilities…
But I like to sprint and I doubt if these animals like to…
The way they have been translated into cuddly soft toys to play with, perhaps that makes me want to wake up as one…
Where would you go on a shopping spree?
In my case, the way my habits and experiences have added up, I rarely have a shopping spree.
But I certainly do go on rare occasions and it is very difficult where exactly the spree takes place.
The latest shopping spree took place at a little tailor’s shop that I may have passed by for years but without much interest to step in. In need of some decent clothing, on someone’s recommendation, I took a chance.
They got the fit of my first pair of pants right, and I went on a spree selecting fabrics for more stitching. I ended up getting 9 pairs of trousers and 11 shirts stitched in total.
Is that a shopping spree? May be. Normally I am on a searching spree before I decide to shop for even a single object.
What is one question you hate to be asked? Explain.
One question!? That is too less.
I hate being asked no less than 1000 questions. No less! Yes.
But then I like to discuss answers of any question if I am chatting with you, and you are keen to answer the same question too.
Say on a morning like this, I would hate being asked:
What are you doing on your phone right after waking up?
What is making you type so feverishly early morning?
Why are you on your phone again?
Can you stay away from your phone, at least in the mornings?
You’re writing your autobiography. What’s your opening sentence?
Staring at the grass, head tilting down, she said, “He coaxed me into loving him.”
What are three objects you couldn’t live without?
Would pen and paper count as 1 object? Okay, let’s count it for 1.
But then, would paper in different sizes and different bindings count as 1? Count them as 1. Please please! Thank you.
So, go again.

I was perenially dissatisfied with my exercise routines and reminders until I installed a pull-up bar.
I want to revise the list.

Charger, should that be a part of the mobile phone? Just fuel station is a part of car?
Is infrastructural stuff an object? Is spatial enclosure like my studio an object? Wait, you can’t say this planet is an object. That’s like cheating and philosophical.
How do these prompts invert my head to ask all such questions.
I have to refine this list of precious 3.

Enjoy has multiple invisible meanings.
There are times when I don’t enjoy my job. When I recognize that ‘enjoy’ involves invisible meanings and start applying the meanings, and write them out, I enjoy it.
This prompt is double-edged.
Meaning # 1: A phase you would love to live forever in.
Meaning # 2: A phase that sticks to you like mad, love or no love.
Look, am going through a phase that just feels like going on forever. And it’s a mixed bag. That kind that could make anyone shake and shiver.
I’ve figured a design that I’ve had a really hard time getting translated through the hands of tailors into an amazing pair of pants; I desire to turn it into a commercial venture. How many iterations? I’ve lost count. While I’ve learned through all these efforts over the last few years, I feel like I must say goodbye to this phase now and start testing it in the market.
Ex Girlfriend doesn’t quite capture her but let that be understood that we had a deep attachment.
She resides rent-free in my head for more than 2 decades. I too reside in her head rent-free; that I can quite easily gather.
We found ourselves in a really bad social situation. And she took big weird decisions. Post that, we talked on different occasions but I found myself resentful after every conversation.
While I can figure the contours of her thinking I would still like to be her for a day and see what it is like.
If you could permanently ban a word from general usage, which one would it be? Why?
MANAGE
That word ought to be banned.
MBAs abused it for long. Now most do.
It has percolated into the common parlance to such an extent that, once a word like that drops into a conversation, which it so often does and very early in the conversation, all conversation is in danger of being swept away and the person uttering that word feels like a genius to himself or herself.
What advice would you give to your teenage self?
Categorical.
Explore INDUSTRIAL DESIGN if you go to college and beyond.
You get some great, amazingly fantastic news. What’s the first thing you do?
The delivery of amazing news typically happens through the mobile phone.
I stop what I am doing and planning to do. Rise up on my feet, walk a bit in whichever space I find myself in, step out in the sun, walk a bit longer, and then daydream for some more time, and then start photographing more earrings.
That’s like asking for predictions… Plenty of life left I guess, so plenty of books to read surely.
In the next few days, I shall be reading Peter Levine’s works. I watched a couple of his Youtube videos on PTSD and behavior. And now I’ve got one of his books called Trauma and Memory.
What’s your dream job?
How does one dream of a job? Really!
I remember, once, I expressed something like, “If I could work with Michael Jackson in any capacity…”
You make such statements when you are young, musical and kind of delirious!
Dream Job, written with capital letters one can easily imagine that as a name of some one. Male? Female? Sounds like it can work for both.
Dream is to have a good body, job is to do macebell training. Good number of reps with good weights at the end of the mace! Possible.
What could you do differently?
I can’t imagine doing any differently. I was an intelligent show-off. Dabbler, and so undirected. So full of boredom and activity.
But yes, if someone looked with deep interest in my routines and proclivities and outputs, that someone could’ve pushed me into developing craft-hands. I could be making shoes too, instead of selling just earrings. Or who knows what else!
Some other could’ve nudged me in a way to enable me to make better provisions for a life full of reading. But then, could it be any different from what it is right now. I simply read everything I want to.
How have your political views changed over time?
I have a Politician-view more than Political view.
While all of us have some politics inside of us, I have come to believe that political folks are a species unto them. They scare me and make me curious all the same.
What is your all time favorite automobile?
How many ‘automobiles’ do folks come to own by the time they come to write an answer to such a question?
Or is this just a question based on visuals or knowledge of automobiles?
Anyway, my favorite is a motorcycle called Benelli TNT 300.
I couldn’t buy it back when it was available. And I suppose the current arrangements aren’t great either to catch hold of one.
How are you creative?
Almost every day, I search for interesting titles of books based on some words or subjects that strike me in certain moments. I end up sampling and reading some of these books.
Such readings have ensured a spring in my step, an anticipation of finding some more interesting things to do.
Have stayed away from bestseller lists.

What’s the hardest decision you’ve ever had to make? Why?
All decisions I’ve made seem to be hard. No, not really. I’ve let the situations become so hard that I have no choice but to accept the hardness of the situations decide for me.
That said, the easiest decisions these days are the small ones I make every day. Spring up and do a few chin-ups. Arms feel so good after that.
Or, out of nowhere, get down and do a set of 10 push-ups of my style, elbows close to the body.
