Having figured out what kind of grip-section gives me great pleasure, and suits my kind of hand and finger movements for writing, I tried the WOW 1A Ebonite Fountain Pen ordered from Penhouse Chennai.
Sharing a few images.

I really like its slim body and the grip section.
As mentioned by plenty of fountain pen users, ebonite body does have its charm. Feels really good to the touch. Good to grip too.
Ebonite feed offers a certain likeable wetness in the strokes. But but but, here’s the thing about this pen.
It barely writes about 9-10 lines and then dries up. I have to shake it vigorously and fiddle in different ways with the nib and feed and section to get it going again. Terrible!
And you see my fingers in the pictures above. Yes, all the fiddling and the strangely leaking section leaves my fingers badly stained.
Ebonite fountain pens, I have yet to try the well-made ones yet.
This one is not worth it; my particular copy is a really bad one. For the price, it is money down the drain. Stay away from this pen.
Now the more pertinent question… Are all WOW fountain pens made this way or pose such issues? How does one know? Have you tried any WOW fountain pen? What’s been your experience?

I posted my first-day experience of this pen on a Facebook group, and I got some suggestions to improve the functioning of this pen.
I pulled out the nib and feed, cleaned the feed with a blade along the grooves carved in the feed, cleaned the ink-barrel, made the section-hole, from which the ink flows into the feed, slightly bigger by shaving some bit of the ‘ebonite’.
The pen is working just fine now, at least I can bear with it without any displeasure now. In fact it is now my favorite writing instrument in spite of the fact that it still writes slightly erratic on certain moments. Like the letters become slightly lighter in color as I write longer, or like just a few moments back the pen completely stopped writing. I shake it a bit and the ink flow ‘resumes’ and then the amazing letters emerge. So I really like this pen even with its whimsical behavior. It is my favorite. I pick it up first on most occasions when I want to do some writing.
Ebonite does make a lot of difference in the way the letter render on the paper. Worth experiencing. I think I will try more ebonite pens now. And it feels like the love for ebonite pens is real.

This pen is a delight. The more I use it, the more it grows on me. Just bought another copy of this. This one will be meant for writing in black ink. Let’s see.
