  • Interactions in Dream

I have been interested in dream interpretations, though I could plod neither through Carl Jung’s nor through Freud’s celebrated texts.

Yesterday morning, in my dream I was surrounded by gangsters, enemies surely, and I could wrestle two of them out of position, flip them over the balcony railings and held them firmly suspended on my arms. Other gangmates stood there watching the spectacle.

What’s interacting with what? Hypothesis: Dream Interactions lead to Dream Interpretations.

  • Scandal

What’s the thing you’re most scared to do? What would it take to get you to do it?

    😀

This thing is scandalous, even to put into words.

I can only think about it but never utter loudly in anyone’s presence. A song would do it though. So will make a song.

    Daily writing prompt
What would you do if you won the lottery?

Depends on what you get as your bounty upon winning the lottery.

If it is monies, I would buy a huge piece of land, and some used equipment or machinery to make some things.

Lotteries don’t get you friends though. Or let’s say getting friends is like winning lottery too.

  • Repetition

The other words for repetition are habit, routine, job, business, breathing, processes, sleeping, home, office, work, practice, mundane, boredom, bureaucracy, sitting in front of your desktop/laptop, picking mobile phone and scrolling, clicking selfies, listening to favorite songs, mugging up for exams… Can you think of more? May be, I can think of more.

    Repetition.

I came across an amazing expression a few days back: unidentical repetition. Can you think of examples? Reading, perhaps. Procreation.

Let me throw at you this expression: Exciting Repetition.

    Enthusiastic Repetition?

I have had a hard time being enthusiastic about repetition. To be this way is to be melancholic.

Painful repetition for a non-detail oriented person.

  • Friends

    What makes a good leader?

    Good friends.

    Or, lack of good friends.

    Both make a good leader.

The question feels incomplete. Like so many things, good leadership and good leaders emerge in contexts.

  • Question

What is the pace of silence?

Does it mean silence travels? Does silence travel?

Can I ask such a question?

    Who will answer?

Sun sets in my part of the world to blanket us all in silence. The pace of sunset relates to pace of silence.

  • Flat

If you could un-invent something, what would it be?

    FLATS.

What we call in our city as FLATS, somewhere else they may be typically called APARTMENTS. That’s what I would un-invent.

FLATS are the bane of Indian urbanization. In fact, I would un-invent the concept of Urban Planning in India.

Urban Planning, was is invented in the first place? Yes, it was an invention? No, it was evolution! Looks like.

  • Rectangular Strip of Time

Can you share a positive example of where you’ve felt loved?

    Talk about framing a question.

Positive example of where you’ve felt loved?

    Now read this:

Negative example of when you’ve felt loved?

    Or read this:

Positive example of when you’ve felt unloved?

    😉

A rectangular strip of time filled with some good serious light-hearted conversation is where I always feel loved. No doubt! And I have had plenty such.

Where can you reduce clutter in your life?

    I did not know this.

21st November is No Music Day.

    Thank you Bill Drummond.

We can do with much much less of background music and sounds and noises.

  • Twist and Wrench

In what ways do you communicate online?

It feels I communicate with NOTHING online most often.

That’s a strange sounding statement. Just as the question sounds actually. Strange.

    ‘In what ways…’

Well, I twist and wrench my words very often to communicate online. That’s the primary way.

The way I don’t communicate online is by not liking selfies, by not expressing birthday greetings to strangers, by not writing RIP upon looking at a death update… By not using such ways of communicating, I must be adopting a way of communicating that discourages people to ‘like’ what I write.

Basically, I do not adopt reciprocation as a way of communicating online. Yes, I think that is it.

What snack would you eat right now?

Sorry, it’s Ockham’s Nominalism, along with a cup of Coffee.

I kind of get now, what they mean, whether they themselves get it or not, what they mean when they use Ockham’s Razor in their language.

  • Astrological Dating?

Come up with a crazy business idea.

    I don’t think I am crazy enough.

Crazy stuff was done by guys who built canals, dams, containers, ships and airplanes.

Whatever I think, someone or some team must be busy doing that already.

So here’s the thing: start a dating service, matches proposed algorithmically based on vedic astrology, especially for nutty youngsters, in the US.

What will you say to them if you start a thing like that?

  • Stories

Stories always meant moving and motioning.

Carvings and sculptures required us to move, non-metaphorically, on our legs in space, to hear and imagine all the stories, narrated by self or someone else.

And personal stories were hidden in all sorts of objects. Visiting and revisiting the objects meant retelling the stories to ourselves.

Books required us to sit. Eyes read and voices worked with the written letters and words. Stories would have to be heard often in our heads, silently.

Motion pictures move the images, stories and voices while we keep sitting. The stories fall into eyes and ears. They fall. We do not work as much to tell and retell the stories.

  • Multiple Missions

    What is your mission?

At different points, I have tried to name my mission. I named it well but differently every time.

At one point, ENSURING BEAUTIFUL FACES.

    Then, ENSURING ELEGANCE IN MOVEMENTS.

    And WRITING AS MEASUREMENT.

    At another point, FUNCTIONAL FASHION.

    And recently, CAPTURING IN COUPLETS.

These are not the same. And they all feel important to me. And pull me altogether it feels.

    One response to “Multiple Missions”

I agree. Life spans surprise us with different segments, due age, or education or environment. So a mission should change with times. And not get stuck to one that was made in a different time much like Don Quixote’s obsessive fight against windmills.

  • Couplet Quality

Will Google ever be able to rank its search results based on the quality of couplets and poems written on a web-page?

    No?

There you have the quality of the engine and the quality of commerce promoted by the engine.

Disagree? Sure. Write a couplet of disagreement, can you?

  • 3 gifts

What is the greatest gift someone could give you?

Company while moving, sitting, working… Company.

Next greatest gift? Am divided between these two options: an intriguing book or a luscious kiss.

There’s always enough time to not have to resort ‘either or’. 3 ‘and’ gifts. Am I smart?

    What colleges have you attended?

I wonder why anyone would be interested in knowing the colleges I attended.

I attended a college to do my Bachelors in Commerce. I didn’t even question why the degree is title Bachelors!

Then I attended a college for entrepreneurship. You can’t undergo a systematic study of entrepreneurship to become an entrepreneur. That causation is very suspect to me.

And the I attended another college to study Marketing Communication. They do not have a course to create couplets there. Would you believe it!

Organic environment feels like bricolage. Doesn’t mean you can’t adopt a palette of hues.

A deliberately adopted palette of hues can make bricolage look organic and beautiful all the same.
