If you do not know what Credencys is, don’t mind. It is an IT company that I happened to chance upon while searching for a PIM system on Google.
What is a PIM system? Product Information Management System. Useful for ecommerce companies. Useful for companies trying to maintain consistent product information for all the people concerned.
What do I want PIM for? I want PIM for this business of mine: Mississippi Earrings. I feel deploying a PIM system will help us organize things on the web consistently for this business.
So I write to Credencys. Someone named Amy responds swiftly. Calls. Chats. Understands my requirement and state of business and my need for an economic PIM solution. Designates a time for a demo of the PIM system that they can potentially set up for my business.
And then, Amy calls up a day before the time of online demo-meeting. Gives me a fake reason that their ‘solutions architect’ won’t be available and, the very next moment, intimates me that it will cost a cool 25-30 lacs INR (no way economic going by whatever standards!) to deploy a PIM system and cancels the demo-meeting. Effectively saying, “I don’t want to look at you my dear Prospect! Your inquiry was stupid!”
