I watched the Jennifer Love Hewitt starrer 'Only if' a few days back. She's a music student in the movie. On her graduation day, she passes the performance test along with other students. But post the mandatory performance test, she gets a surprise. Her boyfriend arranges the set-up and asks her for a voluntary on-stage of a song she's written. She hesitates a bit but gives in to the request and delivers to a huge applause.
What makes her a star stage performer later on is that song and not just the fact that she passed the performance test and simply graduated from a good music institute.
